Regional Sales Representative

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:

The Regional Sales Representative is responsible for providing cost-effective and practical upfit solutions to commercial truck prospects throughout the region. The Representative is responsible for managing relationships with the dealerships in the territory (encompassing Long Island, Metro New York Area and Westchester County), helping them understand the solutions that are available and maintaining adequate inventory levels of Dejana product. The position would respond to sales inquiries from commercial truck prospects and develop truck specifications/proposals together with dealership personnel as well as fleet & municipal accounts.

  • Responsible for meeting annual sales goals established for the region.
  • Actively identifies and engages new customers and accounts within the territory.
  • Responds to sales inquiries from customers and dealerships within the territory.
  • Develops specifications and submits proposals for commercial truck equipment.
  • Manages open job orders through production to delivery.
  • Represents company at trade shows and dealer events.
  • Provides training and conducts presentations online and in-person.
  • Generally, acts in a customer service capacity.

WHAT WE OFFER YOU

  • Base salary ranging from $58,000.00 - $89,600.00, plus commission.
    • Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors, including experience and qualifications.

WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS

  • Required periods of walking in a shop and/or manufacturing setting.
  • Required concentration on fine details in a busy work environment
  • Required attention to tasks for 1 to 2 hours at a time.

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales or similar field.
    • Or 5+ years’ experience in a commercial truck company is preferred
  • Knowledge of car dealership operations.

  • Computer proficient especially with MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Multitasking and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Requires travel within allotted territory and throughout the US.
  • Occasional work on weekends.
  • Occasional time spent sitting at a computer station in an office environment.
